Poetry

collected from 2007 - 2022

I started writing poetry when I was six years old. Inspired by Shel Silverstein, I wrote mad flurries of 'rain in Spain' type poems till I hit middle school and discovered the existence of free verse. Now, I ping-pong back and forth between tighty whitey rhyming and let-em-swing free verse, but if one thing has remained constant throughout my writing life, it's my firm belief that 'elephant' rhymes with 'skeleton', and can't nobody tell me shit about it.

I was published in the Yellow Medicine Review Fall 2017 issue and Fractured Poetics allpoetry bullshit. More recently, I was also accepted as a regular contributor to Mad Swirl in October of 2022.

Also! I published my first book of poetry in February of 2022 through generous donations from family, friends, lovers, and strangers who'd heard I was a decent lay. That book is available on Amazon - A Squid, An Elephant, and a Hulking Tweety Bird Walk Into A Bar.
